The Nee Soon South IAEC (NSS IAEC) was the proud winner of the People's Association Winner Award consecutively for two years, from 2001 to 2002. The NSS IAEC also clinched the Commendation Award for the years 2000 and 2003.

About
Us
The Nee Soon South Community Club Indian Activity Executive Committee (NSS IAEC) is a grassroots organisation under the purview of the People's Association. The Nee Soon South C.C. IAEC was formed on 14 February 1995. Currently, there are some 90 IAEC islandwide. IAECs are a sub-group under the respective Community Club Management Committees (CCMC).
The Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC and Advisor to the NSS Grassroots Organisations, Dr Tan Boon Wan, PBM, appoints the Chairman and members of the NSS IAEC committee.
Mr P Thirunal Karasu, PBM was nominated and appointed as the Chairman of the NSS IAEC on 1 January 1997, taking over from the then IAEC chairman Mr Gurdeep Singh (1995-1996). Under the capable leadership of Mr Thirunal Karasu, the NSS IAEC leaped from the 57th position to 11th position in less than a year. It had maintained its position as one of the top 10 IAECs since then. In 2000, the NSS IAEC was awarded the Commendation Award for being the top 5 IAEC. Subsequently, in 2001 and 2002, the NSS IAEC clinched the Winner Award. The IAEC was once again awarded the Commendation Award in 2003.

Mr Thirunal Karasu, PBM handed over his chairmanship to his deputy Ms Sithara Doriasamy on 1 April 2004. On the same day, Mr Thirunal Karasu, PBM was appointed as the Chairman of the People's Association IAEC Co-Ordinating Council (Narpani Pearavai). Mr R Ravindran, MP for Marine Parade GRC and Advisor to Narpani Pearavai nominated and appointed Mr Thirunal Karasu, PBM to the role.

Mission
To play an active role in the overall betterment and upliftment of the Indian Community and the general Singaporeans, in particular residents of the Nee Soon South Constituency.
To foster goodwill and friendship amongst residents.
To encourage the active participation of the Indian residents in community activities, and contribute in community bonding.
Our Objective
To organise educational, social, cultural and recreational activities for the residents.
To promote the appreciation of the Indian culture, customs, beliefs and traditions amongst the Indian residents and other races, and vice-versa.
To create opportunities for the different races and religions to partake in the activities of one another, thus enhancing racial and religious tolerance and harmony.
